SMH MOMENTS: DRAKE'S "NEW SONG" STOLEN FROM G EAZY?

So for those who aren't aware, Drizzy Drake dropped off a new song last night entitled 'Dreams Can Buy Money' as a loosie.  Pretty nice song if you ask me.  But that was before I heard a veeerrryyy similar track from an up and comer named G-Eazy out of The Bay area.

Drake - Dreams Can Buy Money

He recently dropped of a song called 'Kingz' that basically features the same sample with a replicated tempo.
Before I get too deep into this, let me inform you all that G-Eazy has opened up for Drake SEVERAL times all through last year, so Drizzy has heard of G-Eazy as well as his flow. Many accuse Drake of mimicking Big Sean's 'Supa Dupa' flow, which in fact he admits to 'borrowing' the style.
So when I drew the conclusion that Drake actually took this 'Dreams Can Buy Money' track, I can't really act surprised due because of the whole Big Sean situation.  It's just a shame that hard working artists who don't get shine for putting out dope music get overlooked because industry artists seem to be the ones 'doing the work'.
For example, when Big Sean made the XXL 2010 Freshmen cover, he was asked to drop a song on the Freshmen '10 mixtape.  So he and KeY Wane dropped off '4 My People', which got a lot of approvals and head nods from aspiring fans.  But only a few people realized that '4 My People' was a mimic of Detroit artist Treezen's song, 'Feel Like Im Important'.
Now click those two links and I DARE YOU to tell me that the track wasn't jacked.
In both cases, I understand that the lyrics weren't taken, but there's still a line to draw...

It never made any sense to me how some of these big names artists get so much love from the game, when most styles are either bitten, plagiarized and copied.  So many rappers/singers you hear out here are living off of ghost writers and their fans are so mislead on the creativity that their favorite musician possesses.  Crying shame that that's the case of some of today's artists.

It's just like how the big name blogs get credit for all of the content that was originally gathered by the small media companies.  They take interviews, show footage, etc. from small time blogs that are actually out here grinding and put it on their site for everyone to see.

I could go for days on how the game is corrupted with shit like this, but I'll let you guys put your 25 cents in under the comment section.

The most deflating feeling in the world is seeing everybody giving credit to somebody else for something that you created.  So my point to you all is to make sure you give these other unheard, hard working musicians a chance, because they may actually be responsible for the work from your favorite artist.

Please forward all hate to @WhatUpBP.

SMH MOMENTS: MC HAMMER VS. JAY-Z? IT'S NOT THAT DEEP...

After you peep this post out, make sure you note how many times you actually shook your head...

To those who listened to Kanye's G.O.O.D. Friday track, 'I'm So Appalled' with Jay-Z being one of the features, then you have to be familiar with the line where Hov took a slight jab at MC Hammer.  And when I say slight, I mean about as irrelevant as it can get.  Here is the line that Jay said:

'Hammer went broke so you know I’m more focused/I lost 30 mil’ so I spent another 30/ ‘Cause unlike Hammer 30 million can’t hurt me'

First off, who knew that MC Hammer still listened to rap?  Second, Hammer apparently took this as an insult...and I don't blame him; it kinda made him look bad.  But who even cares about that?  Everybody in the world are aware of Hammer's financial troubles that have been spoofed in many more ways than that lone Jay-Z line...

So Hammer is taking it upon himself to send a shot right back to Hov with a new video/song/short film...?  To be honest, I'm not sure what this is supposed to be, but it looks like something that will stir up this free mason talk again. In the video, you see about 50 seconds of a demonic figure, which I can't tell if it's portraying Hov or what.
Whatever it is, we will be able to find out on Halloween when the full video drops.  Yeah, he even decided to create a release date for those who just may happen to be anticipate this...

SMH Hammer, it's not that deep...

SMH MOMENTS: ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER CHAIN - YUNG BERG EDITION

SMH, I don't do gossip posts. But when you tend to get your chain snatched for shits and giggles about once a month, you deserve a FAIL posting on my site.  So with that said, rumor has it that Berg has taken another L by getting his chain snatched up at Cameo in Miami.  A random sent in a brief synopsis of the incident that took place last night to BallerAlert, and here's what they said...

No more action hero’s for Young Berg. Last night at Cameo Young Berg was there. From what I could see the girls he was with got into it with some girls from another crew when they were leaving the club. Somebody yanked the batman charm right off his chain and they jumped in a cab and dipped. Young Berg was left there with a chain and no charm. The bad part about it is that Young Berg had security.

Hilarious. Why are you paying security? And they got off in a cab?? Damn man, who loses more that this guy? Why are you still making club appearances after you seem to come back chainless every other night? Why am I asking all these questions?

SMH MOMENTS: BRIAN PUMPER x CHIPPY D (LAWRENCE FISHBURNE's DAUGHTER) - OH, AND IT'S SHAVED

If you haven't heard, Lawrence Fishburne's daughter a.k.a. Montana Fishburne a.k.a. 'Chippy D' is a new inductee to the porn industry.  Big ups to Brian Pumper for making that happen.  No ups for this sh*t though...
Apparently, this guy Brian thinks he can rap.  Or star in videos (music videos I mean).  He just put out a music video dedicated to 'shaved p*ssy', starring Chippy D...dancing in a bra and g-string.  The thing about it, she was the only chick in the video and she seems to be doing the same sh*t.  Gotta be the dingiest sh*t I've witnessed in a minute.

SMH MOMENTS: ELI PORTER RELEASING A MIXTAPE & DOCUMENTARY

Before I jump into this, I have to explain this Eli Porter dude to those who aren't familiar...if you know who the kid is, go on and skip towards the next part of the post...

Eli Porter is famous for his infamous rap battle against another contender named Envy back in 2003.  The thing about it is that nobody knew whether they should have taken this guy seriously, or as a complete joke...Eli that is.
His punch lines included "I'm the best mayne", "I did it", "I told you that", "My rhymes, they straight up cleva", and who could forget....
"Ain't no wonder why he came out, he already in the gay parade"...
Dead.  Watch for yourself...

Now that that's over with, we can see what Eli has in store for us in the future.  In a recent video that he put up today, Mr. Porter has announced that there will be a new mixtape from himself.  Apparently, it's set to drop "July somethin'"....
And don't sleep on the documentary that comes out the same day as the mixtape.  If you're looking to get Eli on a feature, hit up his Myspace, Skype, Facebook, etc.
By the way, he's NOT retarted...
I'm dead now. Just watch...

SMH MOMENTS: NICKI MINAJ - INSPIRING 4 YEAR OLD's EVERYWHERE...

Ran across this video, then shook my head...several times.  Although the Nicki Minaj's verse is about 30 seconds, I truly fear that she could have recited the whole song if it fully belonged to Nicki.  I hate 'barbies' and if this is where our next generation is headed, I pray for 2012 to come sooner than later.
Then again, why am I not disturbed as much as I should be?
15 years ago, it would have been blasphemy.  Nowadays, eh...seems like people would be jumping up and down to see this little girl in person.  I don't judge parenting skills, but I don't approve of a 4 year old reciting a whole verse of Nicki Minaj while reenacting damn near the exact same gestures you'd see Nicki do in a video.
"Awww, she's cute though..."
Fuck that. Not a good excuse for this.
Do better people parents...
