JUNYA WATANABE x LEVI'S JEANS - SPRING/SUMMER 2011

Junya Watanabe is back at it again with some more work with Levi's denim company.  The upcoming Spring/Summer looks promising for Watanabe's new denim look with a sailor looking design to the cuff of jeans.  Blue and white make up the colors while the jeans feature a washed and worn look.  colette has them available now!

UNDEFEATED DENIM FOR FALL 2010

3SIXTEEN DENIM COLLECTION

Self Edge and 3sixteen has gotten together for a new capsule of denim jeans.  They will have a couple of releases, but the first one features two fits made from rope dyed Japanese double red-line denim material. The material has a deep dark blue/indigo tone to them.  They have a great aged look, but a modern day wear.  The line is now available from Self Edge NY and Self Edge SF. LEVI STRAUSS x BROOKS BROTHERS DENIM COLLECTION

Here is a preview at a collaboration from Levi Strauss and the Brook Brothers collection.  There are three different denims from the collabo between the American labels. The Levi 501's and 514 will come in six different washes that is branded with both labels.  For the American authenticity, the jeans are all made in Los Angeles.  They are now one sale at all Brooks Brothers retailers.

CLOT x LEVI's 'BLACK SUN SURVIVOR' DENIM (PREVIEW)

This is a look at the new collaborative effort with CLOT and Levi's for their "Black Sun Survivor" denim jeans.  These beautiful denim feature burned elements on the jeans, with 3M patches, studs and other featured details.  These get a lot of attention, but sometimes not in a good way.  CLOT sometimes features a lot of excessive details, but some are pleased with this look.

EDWIN DENIM FOR SPRING 2011

For the last 60 years, the Edwin brand from Japan has been grinding.  They used to be known for putting together innovative fabric and washes and they were the first to produce the rigid denim look at 16 oz.  Basically giving denim that vintage look and it caught on with many people.  They've been absent from the US market for a near decade, but they've come back with a new collection that is uniquely constructed.  The jeans you'll see includes a blend of cotton with rayon along with cotton and paper.  The techniques used on the denim learned from many years of papercraft.  Thin paper sheets were applied during the spinning process which created a denim that was light in weight but strong enough to be worn everyday.  Each pair of jeans also comes with a hang tag that was made from the paper that went into the production.  
Look for the first drop off of these jeans to come sometime this fall and you will be able to find them at your finest denim retailers.

LEVI's FENOM SILVER SUNDRIES RIGID COLLECTION - FALL 2010

Levi's Fenom has put out a new set of denim as a part of their Regular Line.  These jeans are known as the Silver Sundries Rigid and they come in three different styles; the 207, 320 and 505.  Each pair features zipper pockets on the side, silver rivets, the Fenim logo stamped on the back pocket and the logo stripe on the back left pocket.  These denims are an attractive set and it's nice to see them deliver with an attractive capsule that isn't doing too much, but still not doing too less.

ORIGINAL FAKE x LEVI DENIM JEANS - FALL/WINTER 2010

In a collaborative effort with Levi's Jean Company, Original Fake will be putting out two new pairs of jeans that will be apart of the Fall/Winter 2010 collection.  One pair is a washed style while the other is an original raw look.

SEEK SUMMER 2010 - EDWIN INKMAX DENIM JEANS

There's nothing like seeing a pair of decent denim.  An example would be Edwin's latest Japanese denim that they've created thru Inkmax.  These jeans are printed with wear marks instead of the washed technique.  They are ran through an inkjet printer that gives it the classic Rebel Vintage patterns.  It may not be an authentic look because of their technique, but that doesn't stop the jeans from looking attractive...

NEW DENIM FOR SPRING/SUMMER 2011 - KUDO & EDUN COLLECTIONS

We have two brand new denim collections for the 2011 Spring/Summer season from brands EDUN and KURO.  Edun is a fashion label launched by Bono of U2 and Ali Hewson that promotes awareness of the clothing deficit in Africa and all of the possibilities that could be created.  They are active in sourcing materials that are organic and sustainable with the denims that are being sourced in Vietnam and the garments themselves being made in the Motherland.  They focus on using patch work designs with a selection of different looks to them.
This collection will be a drop in 2011...

The next brand we have is a new brand that was launched this past Spring, KURO. Their new denim collection has a theme of 'Time' which sees the brand re-work their 5 key models utilizing 13 ounce Japanese denim material.  Amongst those are Graphite, Dempsey, Crow, Fixer and Anarchism.  There will be 12 different washes per model.

STEVENSON OVERALL CO. PRESENT J.F. DIGGS 887 DENIM

The Stevenson Overall Co. is a clothing company based out of Indiana and was started up about 5 years ago.  Their company was a tribute to a local work-clothing company in Indiana that were around the Great Depression days.  So the relaunch of that company is now today's S.O.C.
In the start of the company revival, Stevenson Overall Co. has produced a unique pair of denims that are inspired by the 1880's. With the purpose behind S.O.C.'s clothing to maintain their concept of quality clothing for the workers, their new denim is a testament as to what their aiming for.  
Their new J.F. Diggs 887 edition jeans are made up from a 1920's sewing machine, giving them that vintage feel and creation. 

“To make our collections, we start from examining early functional clothing (workwear, military, outdoor) from the 1800′s to the 1960′s and then take the best ideas in them and mix them with our own to make garments that can be worn today with a nod to yesterday. We get to make them from the best materials available in collaboration with the best people in the business”.

BEN DAVIS PROJECTLINE's DENIM COLLECTION FOR SUMMER

If you're looking for some clean denim, you can't go wrong with the Ben Davis Projectline.  They have presented  to us some of their releases for the upcoming summer and they're available for grabs now.  The Davis family has been in denim since the mid 1800's and are said to have assisted the creation of the original Levi denims.  
13 oz. denim is what is used on all of the jeans from this collection and it features a mix of washed and unwashed styles.  The collection is inspired by the denim styles in the 1950's.
