I'm a bit really late on this, but better late than never, right? I ran into this while "surfing the web" (do people still say that?) the other day, and thought it was pretty f!¡king cool.
Producers for the soundtrack to the Bollywood film Ra.One hit up Akon to sing the track "Chammak Challo"––in Hindi. I must say that Akon did an amazing job. He nailed the accent down; if I didn't know his voice beforehand or didn't recognize his signature "Ohhh oh," I definitely would have been fooled.
"Chammak Challo" is Akon's first Bollywood song, but with the success and popularity of it, it probably won't be his last.
