Don't ask me how I came across this chick, but I fell in love about a month ago. My newest R&B crush comes via Amanda Silvera, a talented vocalist out of Vancouver, BC. With a mixture of soul, R&B and hip hop integrated with her music, it's kind of hard to compare her style to a specific singer. I would probably say that she has some Alicia Keys, mixed with a little bit of Marsha Ambrosius with a hint of Mariah Carey. But possibly a tad bit better.
Here goes a little taste of what she's about; something I grabbed off of her Twitter account. Be on the lookout for her name because I'm sure you'll be hearing it real soon. From what I understand, she is expected to drop something at the beginning of 2012, so keep your ears open...
