I somehow scored myself a Spotify Premium account when I registered for Klout, so I've been running through albums between classes. Thanks to the recommendation of a friend, I've been getting into Das Racist recently, and their newest drop Relax happened to show up on the What's New tab.
Das Racist is one of those groups that half of you will dismiss as weird and wack and half of you will bump while you try to figure out what really happened to Drake before he shot the cover for Take Care (shoutouts to BP - go read the latest #ACASEOFTHEMONDAYS).
If you can stop listening to Sideline Story for a few minutes, you're gonna get something pretty different from these dudes. Odd Future meets The Clipse meets hipsters, minus a little bit of the extreme on each end. You're probably not gonna hear this on the radio, which means quality and originality for the most part.
If you don't have the Spotify hookup for the album like yours truly, they've dropped two mixtapes since '08 - Shut Up, Dude and Sit Down, Man. Do that and go listen to 'em.
