First off, we would like to thank all of those who attended and contributed to our Summer Cookout at Fire Fighters park this past Saturday (June 4th). With threats of rain in the reports, the day turned out to be a beautiful, sunny day and an all around great outcome. The support was more than expected, even from those who weren't able to make it out. Special shoutouts to Kara Platt for running the event with RTF, Anthony Kile for holding down the grill, Skippy, Delair, Spencer and others for their major efforts into helping us make this barbecue a great one. We can't thank you enough if you showed up and stayed with us. It really shows us that you all can appreciate some of the things that we are doing for the community and as long as you all enjoy these types of things, we will continue to bring you more social gatherings such as this one. And we can't forget to shout out all of the winners of the clothing and cash drawings. Hope you all enjoyed your gifts!
For those who may not know, it has been a very busy year for the Respect These Kidz Foundation. We recently became a Not-For-Profit 501(c)3 Charitable Organization, and had a very successful Second Annual Operation Easter Basket. Even though we have accomplished so much this year our mission to provide guidance for the youth in order to help them live up to their full potential never stops. This summer will we be embarking in Grant Writing so that we can continue to impact the community for the greater good.
With becoming a 501(c)3 any donations (clothing, school supplies, cash donation) given to the RTK Foundation will be documented and can be written off on your taxes. Please keep Respect These Kidz in mind when considering any type of charitable donation as we strive to become your favorite charitable organization.
