ODD FUTURE OFFICIALLY SIGNS WITH SONY/RED DISTRIBUTION

So word on the e-streets is that the up and coming Odd Future camp is going to sign the deal that everybody has been waiting for them to sign.  It is said that they will ink with RED Distribution/Sony that will allow them to remain an independent group but will get support with their project releases as well as allowing them to stick with their musical minds without anybody telling them to change it up.
I'm not gonna make too many opinions on this due to the fact that it's not official.  But Tyler knows what he's doing with his Odd Future campaign, and I guarantee he won't let Sony fuck them over...IF it is an official signing.  Here is the statement from manager:
“It’s based on getting the distribution deal we’ve always envisioned that allows the group to “sign  themselves” to their own company and keep their masters. They will have 100% creative control of all aspects of their music, art, and release schedule with no 3rd party participation in outside business. Freedom and ownership was the whole point. Red and Sony know that its in everyone’s best interest to maintain the group’s authenticity and control. They built it, they deserve it. There’s no cheesy hooks or fluorescent liquor product placements in the works..  It’s about to be fun.. and different..”

UPDATE: According to the manager Chris Clancy, the signing of Odd Future to Sony/RED Distribution has been made official.

Yes, we signed to Red Distribution which is owned by Sony. Odd Future Records – we own our own intellectual property, retain our masters, get full creative control of every project and get to decide what we put out, when we put it out and how we put it out. It is what we wanted for the group from the beginning, for them to wholly own the brand without a 3rd party participating in any ancillary businesses. We are just beginning….

And as for Frank Ocean:
Frank Ocean, Odd Future’s alternative/R&B singer, however, is a different story. “Frank is on Def Jam,” Clancy confirmed. “Frank is absolutely a part of Odd Future. Def Jam has been great about understanding that and we’ll be working together.

There you have it folks...OFWGKTA is officially 'signed'.
