My homie Rowe of Midwest Star Power takes his first dive into the field of videography with much success. Known more for his skills with photography I wanted to know what pushed him into creating videos and film.
His answer:
"As a man with an artistic mind, I have considered almost all ways of self expression. My interest in doing videos has been growing for quite some time now. I felt I could use the videos to help progress my blog, expand my business, help express myself in another medium of art, and to help others with great visuals when they can’t help themselves. I came across a great deal on an entry level camera about a week before The Kickback. Immediately after touching the camera, I was just itching to shoot footage. My good friend, rap artist Chavis Chandler (featured artist in the video), reached out to me for some projects he had in mind. Me being a fan of his music made it all the more exciting. This is how The Kickback video came about. I didn’t have a story board or any preparations made, I just wanted to spontaneously capture the overall mood of the event. I wanted to show the type of love Chavis gave & received to the people around him. And most importantly, I wanted to show the talent he has in store for everyone. I shot performing, dancing & interacting with other artists as well as friends & fans, just having a great time. After posting the video I received great feedback, so now I’m eager to learn and shoot even more. This is only the beginning; please stay updated with me because I have plenty to share with you all."
