BLACK MILK 'ALBUM OF THE YEAR' RELEASE PARTY - LIVE AT ST. ANDREWS HALL (DETROIT, MI)

On Saturday evening, Black Milk made his homecoming in Detroit after releasing his latest solo project, Album Of The Year on the 14th.  The celebration of this album release took place at St. Andrews in downtown Detroit and R.T.F. was able to capture some footage from what I feel was one of the best hip hop shows I've ever attended.  With many of Detroit's big names in attendance that night, Black Milk put on one hell of a show that featured a live set on stage with him along with Melanie Rutherford on the vocals for the most part.  He not only performed tracks from AOTY, but he also brought back some classics from his other albums; Popular Demand and Tronic.  He brought out Hex Murda whom the crowd showed CRAZY love to, Danny Brown for their 'Black & Brown' anthem, Royce and eLZhi for 'Deadly Medley' and ended the night with Guilty Simpson as they brought back 'Sound The Alarm.
One thing that really set the night off was Milk's tribute to three of Detroit's fallen soldiers; Proof, J. Dilla and Baatin.  He got behind the beat boards and set the stage off with a compilation of hits from late musicians.

Like I previously stated, this was one of the best hip hop shows that I've ever attended and the footage goes on to prove that.  Take a look after the jump to see more highlights from the show, including the tribute Dilla, Proof & Baatin, BM performing tracks from Popular Demand, Tronic, and bringing out Hex Murda...
