A few weeks after releasing the single, Mr. J. Medeiros unveils the video to "Pale Blue Dot" with Giannina Ashe on the hook.  Definitely one of my favorite tracks out of Medeiros' catalog, which is why I chose to purchase the 7" vinyl.  You can do the same by clicking here, or just feel free to cop the single off of iTunes.

For those who keep up with RTF, you should be aware that we always keeps tabs on Mr. J. Medeiros when he drops new music.  When we premiered his Saudade  album a little less than a year ago, I was convinced that he has created his own style and stands out from the "rap" genre with his own flow.
The grind doesn't stop for the L.A. native as he releases a new cut from his forthcoming EP.  The title track "Pale Blue Dot" features production from his homie Stro Elliott with Giannina Ashe gracing the hook with her vocals.  Definitely something to nod ya head to, so give it a listen and download it for yourself.

One of my favorite cuts from Mr. J. Medeiros' Saudade  album gets a little dubstep enhancement to it, courtesy of dubstep producer Ghost.  The fact that I like dubstep AND Medeiros' "Swallow" track makes this a pretty dope listen.  Hear for yourself, and be sure to grab Mr. J. Fresh off of releasing his latest album, Saudade  over a month ago, Mr. J. Medeiros unveils an unreleased gem from the archives.  "Old Man Perez" consists of Merdeiros using vocals, rapping and production work (with a new production team, The Stare).  Why it didn't make the album, I don't know why.  Saudade  is available now!

ALBUM: MR. J. MEDEIROS - SAUDADE (STREAM + REVIEW)

With the release of his fourth album 'Saudade',  Mr. J. Medeiros brings you one of his best projects yet with a solid 14-track album that fits in well with the Summer. Medeiros is known for integrating a mixture of fusion, electronic, alternative and jazz into his style of hip hop and this opens up the minds of 'hip-hop-heads' (such as myself) to appreciate a piece of work like this. Even if you happened to be a full time Mr. J. Medeiros hater, you would still be able to find at least two songs off of the album to appreciate.

Not one song on Saudade  sounds similar to each other; each track brings something new instrumentally and lyrically, which shows the diversity of music that Medeiros can cover.  The first song that I heard from the album was one of his recent leaks, ‘Neon Signs’ with Stro.  I felt like I couldn’t really form an opinion based on hearing that one song, so the lovely Mathilda Green gave me the opportunity to give Saudade an entire listen.  After only having to run through the album one time, there weren’t many negative thoughts that I could form about it.

As we prep for the release of Mr. J. Medeiros' upcoming album, Saudade, we get a final leak from the project that features singer Logan on the hook.  Probably one of my favorite songs on the album, which comes out on June 14th.  Nice song for the Summer and it would fit perfectly on the radio.
Be sure to stay tuned into R.T.F. when Saudade  is released; I will be posting a detailed review on it as well as a stream for you all to listen to it.  For now, just enjoy this leak and be ready for Saudade  on June 14th!
